The order has ostensibly been given for its coverage on the Pathankot attack, when in fact this particular channel’s coverage was no different from other TV channels.

    AIDWA stands in solidarity with Pakistan’s women who reacted strongly to the statement made by Pakistan clergy “Beat wives lightly” as a violation of fundamental right of women. We also condemn similar derogatory remarks by people holding public offices in India. We protested when the WCD Minister made such remark in context of marital rape not being applied in Indian families. We also protested against attack on Section 498A which criminalises domestic violence. Indian women today are experiencing similar situation in the country.
